The Hart Museum remains closed. Los Angeles County has approved a plan to transfer the William S. Hart Museum and Park from the County to the City of Santa Clarita.
We are inviting residents in neighborhoods around L.A. County to track bat activities for the first large-scale study of how these creatures use urban and suburban habitats.
In the Summer of 2018, there were hundreds of happy campers around L.A. thanks to NHM’s partnership with the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation’s ESTEAM Summer camp.
At the end of every work day, before I head home into that lovely L.A. rush hour traffic, I walk through the Nature Garden at one of my favorite times of the day, the magic hour as the sun sets, the diurnal animals hunker down, and the nocturnal ones get ready for action.
