Lisa Gonzalez

Lisa is currently the Program Manager of Invertebrates, overseeing the Butterfly Pavilion, Spider Pavilion, Bugtopia, and the Nature Lab's living invertebrate displays. For 10 years, she was the Associate Collections Manager for the NHM BioSCAN Project, the largest urban insect biodiversity survey of its kind. Her insect macro photography is featured in the NHMLA exhibit "Spiky, Hairy, Shiny: Insects of L.A." as well as the Bugtopia exhibit.
Lisa first started as a volunteer in the Insect Zoo in 1999. She loves to share her passion for insects and spiders with Museum visitors, particularly highlighting the surprising insect diversity found right here in Los Angeles.
