Sure, a Cowboy could be defined as “someone who herds animals, traditionally cattle, traditionally on horseback,” but what are the historical roots of this tradition and what is its role in the development of the American West? And what about cowgirls — what can we learn about the history of women in this culture? Join us as we look at different aspects of this wide ranging topic, and discover some of the diverse traditions associated with the world of cowboys (and cowgirls).
