The Hart Museum remains closed. Los Angeles County has approved a plan to transfer the William S. Hart Museum and Park from the County to the City of Santa Clarita.

While living in Newhall, William S. Hart was an active member of the community. From helping with recovery efforts after the St. Francis Damn Disaster, to donating land to build the first high school in the area, Hart’s contributions to the community made a major difference in the lives of those who lived here— and continue to make a difference today.
