The Hart museum will remain closed until further notice. See NHMLAC's response to coronavirus (COVID-19).

Information About the Hart Museum Reopening

The William S. Hart Museum, part of the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County (NHMLAC), closed in March 2020 under order by the Los Angeles County Public Health to help decrease the spread of the coronavirus.

While we do not yet have a reopening date for The Hart, we are currently working on a plan and protocols to reopen to the public safely, and are actively recruiting new staff.

Please sign up for our NHMLAC e-newsletter or connect with us on social media to receive more information as it becomes available and to learn about current exhibitions and programs at our other two museums—Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and La Brea Tar Pits—which are now reopened to the public.
